I’m up in Glasgow this weekend for the Glasgow International Artists Bookfair. Yesterday was great with many visitors to the fair and amazing work on show. The organizers Helen and Harald have done a great job and the fair has a really nice atmosphere.

I got out early Saturday morning before the fair opened with a camera to get a few photos around Glasgow city centre.

Today I launched my new website; you can view it by clicking here.

It’s great to have a website back up again.

I have become interested in the difficulties of communication so over the past few I weeks I have been working on some altered book projects, using the text book The Hand Book of Communication Skills along side various twines and lengths of rope.

Cutting and re binding sections of The Handbook of Communication Skills into a tightly rebound entity which becomes inaccessible. Strips of text emerging from a length of unravelling rope, or hiding small lengths of script inside tied and suspended cocoon like bundles of twine.

Visited new media artist Julien Maire’s exhibition at the Hatton Gallery  earlier this week.

I enjoyed this exhibition in which Maire employs low res projectors, slow motion and obsolete technologies and creates haunting installations on the themes of illusion, memory and the passage of time.
